  • Linda Marvin, President of Marvin Consulting Group for the past 15 years, is an international consultant and speaker with over 30 years of experience with large and small corporate entities in a variety of different industries. She has worked extensively in many cultural settings, both domestic and international, including: Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East. Linda brings a unique combination of consulting expertise with an intimate knowledge of organizations from a CEO’s perspective.   • Before joining Marvin Consulting, Linda was the President and CEO of Lockheed Martin Environmental Systems and Technology Company. She was instrumental in the strategic design and implementation of this high technology start up. The company was built from the ground up. And within three years, it grew from $30 to $250 million. Originally, Linda was hired by Lockheed to improve the productivity of the President and CEO of Lockheed Engineering and Sciences Company which held multiple NASA contracts, including the Johnson Space Center Engineering contract. During her tenure, she co-designed and implemented the company Leadership Program and individually coached executives and management teams. Her involvement at Lockheed has gained her extensive experience working with many other government agencies.

    Linda’s CEO experience has given her a depth of organizational understanding and insight, which better serves her consulting clients today.

  • Bill Barron has nearly 20 years of experience consulting professionals and senior level executives on personal and organizational development, strategic planning and change implementation. He is an energetic consultant whose coaching insight, guidance and support enable his clients to consistently reach new levels of results. In addition to strategic planning, personal and organizational development and change implementation, his experience includes marketing and practice development for professionals, leadership succession coaching, teambuilding, conflict resolution, and issues relating to growth and expansion. He is certified in the highly regarded Birkman® method, a workplace behavioral and motivational assessment tool, and the Lominger leadership tools.

    Bill was a practicing attorney in the corporate and real estate transactional areas for 18 years. He founded his own business law firm. He served as Vice President/General Counsel for a national real estate company. He founded a consulting company in order to share his philosophy, experience and knowledge developed and refined over many years in the professional and business world.

  • Prior to consulting, Bill was a practicing attorney in the corporate and real estate transactional areas for 18 years. He founded and was, for 10 years, managing partner of his own business law firm and then became a shareholder of a larger corporate firm known for its innovative practice development methods. He later served as Vice President/General Counsel for a national real estate company involved in the development, operation and management of multifamily residential and commercial properties throughout the U.S. He founded a consulting company in order to share his philosophy, experience and knowledge developed and refined over many years in the professional and business world. While engaged in the practice of law he conducted internal training programs in the areas of client relationships, leadership and communication. He has been a regular speaker at continuing education programs on a variety of business management and law topics.

    Bill enjoys working on his country property, cooking and an eclectic variety of music and art. He stays busy keeping up with the activities and lives of his children and grandchildren. He volunteers his time coaching and facilitating non-profit boards.

    Earlier in her career, Donna designed and led the Talent Management Center of Excellence for Knowledge Universe, including talent acquisition, training, leadership development, and organizational development functions. Working closely with senior executives, retention among Center Directors and Teachers was boosted 12% and 20%, respectively, in two years by introducing systematic methods to improve teacher quality. This included defining teaching standards, improving sourcing strategies, creating a standard performance assessment process, implementing teacher training, and establishing a pay for performance compensation plan.

    Donna also provided coaching support to a senior operations leader to assess the need and implement a significant organizational re-alignment, divestiture of unprofitable product lines resulting in a 130% EBITDA target attainment. This initiative positioned this global division to double in size in three years and attain a $50M annual cost savings utilizing shared service functions.

    Before that Donna directed global HR, OD strategy, recruiting, and education, including US and international market training in nine countries for Service Corporation International, where she supported dramatic sales growth by identifying key performance drivers using workforce planning and analytics, as well as, implementing comprehensive sales management, recruiting, and training programs.

    Prior to those positions, Donna established her own training and OD consulting firm. As President she consulted with a number of companies to provide strategic planning, training, quality management, and process reengineering guidance and advice.

  • For more than 35 years Jake has supported more than 210,000 people directly on important changes they are making to their business. He has worked in 61 industries, from high tech to manufacturing to hospitality to entertainment to financial services. He has consulted to 96 organizations, from Fortune 50 to national non-profits and community theaters. He has supported major change efforts with the City of New York, the U.S. National Forest Service and Environmental Protection Agency and the United Kingdom’s National Health and Employment Services.

    In addition to regular postings to his blog, he has authored and co-authored seven books, written articles for Strategy and Leadership, Executive Excellence, Leader to Leader, Strategic HR Review, the OD Practitioner, Consulting to Management and has been featured in The Huffington Post and Inc. magazine. He now calls Toledo home again after more than 30 years away and enjoys spending Sunday nights going out for Indian food with his parents – a “must do” tradition.

  • Jake specializes in creating far-reaching company-wide change. As the author of the business classic Real-Time Strategic Change, he is one of the pioneers who developed the technology that makes it possible to bring hundreds of people together at the same time to hold conversations about their preferred future and to make decisions in real time. He is a master at working with leadership teams to create alignment and a collective view. Jake is also an expert in designing and facilitating processes that involve the whole company in creating their future faster.

    In his most recent book, Leverage Change: 8 Ways to Achieve Faster, Easier, Better Results, he explains the principles or “Levers” he uses to turbocharge a company’s work. His focus on driving change in individuals, as well as company-wide, make it possible to achieve results faster, easier, and better than a company thought possible. His methods help get more work done with less. Less confusion, less time wasted and fewer problems.

    Before starting his firm, he worked as an internal consultant at Ford, director of the University of Michigan’s Athletic Tutorial Program, an investigator at the Institute for Social Research, and an interior garage painter, his first entrepreneurial business.

    He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Michigan and received a Master’s of Science in Organization Development from Pepperdine University with honors. While teaching others, he continued his own education at Notre Dame’s Executive Education Program, the U.S. Navy’s Postgraduate Institute, Roffey Park Management Institute in England, and St. Thomas University.

    Jesse has authored several team and organizational assessments, including the Benchmarks of Team Excellence, a popular assessment that measures whether a team shares a common vision and has the needed processes and skills.

    In the early 1980’s, impressed by the effect of mental imagery on the Olympic results, Jesse began studying the impact of vision. Through her research, she identified the three elements of an enduring vision. And her doctoral dissertation measured the impact of vision on leadership effectiveness. She then turned her attention to identifying practical ways to help leaders create a compelling vision and ensure it is lived.

    Since then, Jesse has supported hundreds of leaders in clarifying their vision, developing collaborative leadership skills, and building high performance teams. And she has facilitated many large-scale collaborative change efforts in companies such as Honda, Jackson Hole Ski Resort, Stop and Shop, and TJX (T.J. Maxx and Marshalls).

    In addition to supporting leaders, Jesse has experience as a leader herself. Under her guidance as the Executive Director, the Guest House Retreat and Conference Center was designed, opened for business, and exceeded revenue goals its first year. She also served as the Executive Director of the Berrett-Koehler Foundation through its launch and startup period.

  • Pat honed her professional skills through employment with Atlantic Richfield (ARCO), Shell Oil, British Petroleum (BP), AIG, and most recently, Southern California Edison, one of the nation’s largest investor-owned electric utilities. Having worked in the C-suite, she understands the executive mindset, organizational politics and how to navigate in large, complex organizations. At Edison, she was Vice-President, Human Resources and provided leadership over several transformation initiatives. She upgraded talent and utilized industry benchmarks and a performance scorecard to measure HR costs and operational efficiencies. HR costs were reduced by $12 million and top quartile cost performance was achieved in employee and labor relations, compensation, shared services, the business partner function, and time-to-fill open positions. She also commissioned and provided oversight of an organizational health study following a workplace shooting. The findings resulted in leadership assessments, annual leadership training for all 1,600 leaders and re-engineering of employee relations and ethics practices.

    Prior to joining Edison, Pat was Executive Vice President, HR for AIG’s domestic life insurance business where she and her team developed employee engagement programs in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis.

    During her tenure at BP, Pat was Vice President of HR Operations for the Western Hemisphere. She led the HR organization through a variety of transformational activities resulting in upgraded leadership capabilities, consolidated service centers, streamlined delivery of leadership development and learning programs, and a new global talent acquisition model, all while maintaining “silent running” of the operations.

    Pat’s consulting and executive coaching experience includes engagements in the hospitality, entertainment, transportation, and energy sectors.

  • Susan Odell has had a multifaceted 25-year consulting career that contributes to her ability to provide leadership effectiveness coaching to executives in a variety of industries. Susan serves as a confidential sounding board and advisor to CEOs and senior managers. She also coaches high potential leaders and those moving into new roles in their organization. Susan is known for her ability to provide important insight as well as concrete action plans for clients to accomplish their goals. This work includes utilizing a variety of self-assessments, 360 assessments and ongoing individualized coaching.

    Susan’s combined education and experience allows her to provide coaching expertise that is both practical and impactful. Her understanding of the dynamics of individual psychology as well as the impact of organizational politics results in clients making choices and changes that address their own needs as well as those of the organization.   • Susan started her own consulting company in the early 1990s with a focus on providing executive coaching and management development programs to both individual and corporate clients. One of Susan’s largest projects was to design and deliver a comprehensive management training program for a Fortune 300 company. She delivered this program in the US, Europe, Scotland, Asia, Australia and the United Arab Emirates. Companies in the oil and gas industry are still utilizing this program today.

    Previously, Susan was a Partner with King, Chapman and Broussard, an executive outplacement and management consulting company in Houston, Texas. Early in her career, she managed the Houston outplacement business where she managed the largest outplacement project delivered by KCB. Susan consulted with corporate CEO’s and management teams to provide executive coaching and development, planned reductions in force, and outplacement programs. Susan not only delivered, but designed projects that were tailored to meet each client’s unique challenges.

  • Susan has a Bachelor of Arts from University of Texas where she graduated with honors. She also has a Master of Arts from the University of Houston at Clear Lake City.
